W21 – Automatic Horizontal Splitting and Stacking Machine
Description
The Fecken & Kirfel W21 is an automatic horizontal machine for the efficient and economical splitting of flexible polyurethane foam blocks into layers of a pre-set thickness. The cut layers remain on the block and are stacked sequentially, allowing for the automated processing of the entire block.
The material is placed on a sliding work table with a special corundum coating. During the automatic movement of the table, the circulating bandknife cuts the block according to the specified layer thickness.
During the return stroke of the table, the knife guide retracts into the cutting groove, allowing the separated layer to remain on the block. In this way, the cutting and stacking process is repeated automatically until the entire block is processed.
