W23 – Automatic horizontal band knife
Description
The Fecken & Kirfel W23 is a fully automatic horizontal band knife for the precision cutting of blocks and plates into thin layers. The material is placed on a sliding work table with a special corundum coating, which facilitates stable positioning during processing.
During the automatic movement of the table, the circulating band knife cuts the material to a pre-set thickness. For additional stability, the machine features two movable pressure rollers – one before and one after the band knife. These press the material during processing and limit slippage.
After each cutting cycle, the finished sheets are removed from the machine. The combination of automatic feeding, material stabilization, and band knife cutting allows for the controlled production of thin layers.
